The Elder Tree is a giant, gnarled redwood tree, so tall it can be seen from hundreds of miles away. It is located in the heart of the Forest Of Ancients. It is unknown how the tree grew so large, as its existence predates written history. Dozens of myths and legends have sprung up around the tree's past, though none are more prevalent than the belief that the Elder Tree is the home to a hidden society of Fae-folk, and that the tree is actually the source of all magic.
