Althalos is an evil sorcerer. He has been driven mad by his attempts to unlock and absorb the power of the Star Shard he discovered deep in the Shrouded Woods. He lives in an old tower in the woods to the north of Big Tree.
After his Star Shard was stolen by a mysterious traveler, he took his rage out on the residents of Big Tree, believing in his twisted state of mind that the villagers had taken the shard to use for themselves.
