As the party stood in the rain considering what to do now that the guards were dead. Gex spoke up.
"Where is Topaz? Should we find him?"
Only a few houses away Topaz was on alert wary of any pursuers or nosy neighbors who may have heard his break in. He crouched low in the shadows of the houses and waited until the flashes of lightning had subsided before scurrying across the road to a new vantage point.
The shifter Shiro knew Topaz, his fellow slave who couldn't even last a single fight without going down, but was unsure why this lizard man was keen to find him. As they rounded the corner at the top of the hill Topaz appeared. "Ahhh. I'm glad you made it away after I freed you Shiro!" the small Tabaxi said.
"Freed me? You left me chained up!" Shiro replied with frustration.
"Did you have to unchain yourself from the guard?" Shiro asked defending his position.
"Tanglefoot found the keys in the mud outside and unlocked me!" the shifter retorted.
"Oh good. You found them where I left them for you!" the tabaxi said ignoring Shiro's frustration. "Anyway. I'm going to go steal a ship. Who wants to come with me?"
