Unexpected Acquaintances.

When the trio of caravan gyards entered into the ruins the of dwarven fortress they joined alongside other adventurers that were exploring the ruins. A dwarven artificier by the name of Lennox was searching the ruins to find an old treasure. Alongside them a half-elf druid was inside fighting against the same groups of people that abducted Alton.

Deciding that they shared the common enemy the trio let the pair join them in a goal to try and save the unlucky halfling.

Reptilian Inhabitants.

Within the lair the party was not expecting to see the beings inside. Kobolds, lizardfolk, and dragonborn assaulted the party alongside more of the cloaked men. Old dwarven rooms had been repurposed for this groups needs, the once proud courtyard turned into a paddock area for drakes and giant rats the kobolds tended to. Pots and pans were recycled as armor for kobolds to use.

Areas with the humans were showing a focus on religious practices. Draconic sigils and writings with eye glyphs adorning countless walls. These people were cultists. Realizing the danger Alton was now in, they hurried off to try and save them.

Within a chicken wire bird cage the group found a frightened Pseudodragon. The tabaxi within the group managed to help calm the frightened dragon and named them Sparky. They decided to join the party by hiding within the tabaxi's hair. At the very end of the slave chambers the party managed to find Alton. Frightened and beaten, but alive. Warning them that only feet away was the cult prepared for a blood sacrifice and wanted to use Alton.

Wrong Blood Spilled.

The Grass Stalkers

Wanting to ensure this cultic organization would attack no other wandering travelers they headed over to strike them down. Breaking into the room a group witnessed a sigil marked into the ground, another massive dragon statue erected into the room, torture racks on display nearby with the long dead victims still attached.

The clear leader in this group was a tall man wearing a horned mask, his eyes obscured with a violet eye marked in the center. Shouting loudly over the offering being in jeopardy and that they needed to defend their lair. The group was quick to attack the cultists fought back as well with knives, spears, and the gnashing maws of lizardfolk.

In the end the adventurers were victorious slaying whoever the high cultist in this group was and leaving the remainder lizardfolk and kobolds scattering away into tunnels the party couldn't follow them into. Leaving back with Alton alive, they continued the caravan trip to
