All Crocian, regardless of which clan they hail from share a few things in common.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2
Age. Crocian reach maturity at a relatively young age, generally around 12 years old. Although they can biologically survive for several centuries, few Gatorkin live past their first decades due to the harsh nature of their environment.
Alignment. As a race that values personal freedom, many Gatorkin are generally Chaotic Neutral. However, Gatorkin of other alignments can still thrive, and will often find a place within their society.
Size. As a general rule, Crocian are far larger than they appear. They walk with a hunched posture with the largest of their number standing just over 6 feet tall. However, if measured from nose to tail, that same Crocian would reach lengths of nearly 14 feet, and weighing in at over 250 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Natural Swimmer. You gain advantage on any Strength (Athletics) check made in the water, and have a swim speed equal to your walking speed. In addition, you can hold your breath for 30 minutes.
Powerful Jaws. You possess a Bite attack, which counts as a natural melee weapon attack and with which you are proficient, that deals 1d6 piercing damage. The damage increases to 2d6 at 6th level, 3d6 at 11th level, and 4d6 at 16th level. If you make a successful bite attack on a target that is no more than one size larger than you, you may use a bonus action action to make a grapple on the target. This grapple uses your mouth instead of your hands, and you cannot make another Bite attack until the grapple ends.
Tough Hide. Your thick scales provide a strong natural armor. When unarmored, your AC is equal to 11 + your Dexterity modifier.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Draconic and one other language of your choice. Although the Gatorkin are quite xenophobic, many will learn the language of nearby allies (or enemies). Adventurous Gatorkin tend to learn Common.
Subrace. Most Gatorkin clan are made up of a mixture of the three different breeds of Gatorkin.
