Created by the same means and purpose of the desert deathclaws, gatorclaws contain significantly more crocodilian traits than their deathclaw relatives and as such dwell in the rainforests and swamps where they are most effective. In these dangerius primordial forests they stalk their domain as successful predators.

Swamp Predators.

Gatorclaws are exceptionally dangerous predators in the mires and swamps they live in. Equally capable in and out of water, gatoclaws use their massive claws to wound their prey before killing them with their powerful jaws.

Gatorclaws prefer to feed on large land animals around the size of deer. Although they can very quickly develop a taste for humanoid flesh and become man eaters. Many times if a gatorclaw ever eats a humanoid they never go back to eating any other food.

Gatorclaws will cache their kills in underwater burrows, mangrove roots, or inside submerged logs to eat later. Some believe they may actually be fermenting their food so that they can eat it in a partially rotten form. Some adventurers will try to loot these water logged corpses in hopes that valuable may still be left on the body, some rare loot even end up stuck in the gatorclaws digestive system leading to some daring adventurers to gut the slain monsters.
