In addition to its physical characteristics, a
black wyvern is a creature of dread and loathing. This formidable
monster not only possesses the potent venom found in a wyvern's
tail stinger, but also the breath weapon of a black dragon, making
it doubly hazardous to all who cross its path. With a puff of
burning air and a menacing hiss, it can spew forth a gout of
corrosive acid capable of melting flesh and dissolving armor.
The black wyvern's head is distinctly that of a black dragon,
complete with the skull-like, cruel countenance that this breed
of chromatic dragon is known for. Its wicked, arching horns curl
forward, as if to further emphasize their nightmarish visage. It
has chilling, piercing eyes that gleam like wet emeralds in the
dark, betraying not just animalistic cunning but a truly malevolent
intellect. Its scales, as dark as glistening onyx, are as tough and
impenetrable as any black dragon's hide.
