While the Byen'si are opportunists in life, they also excel with opportunities in combat. These Tabaxi are smaller than their brethren, however they are quite stout and heavy. They have the ability to take down larger foes by grappling them, biting down, and bringing them to a swift end.
It's the funniest thing. The first time I saw Drop, I thought they were just a regular Tabaxi. Then I got to know him and let me tell you: he is one of the smartest people I know. He can hear someone talking across a tavern, walk over and introduce himself, and in ten minutes they're buying him drinks. I tell you, Byen'si are the easiest people to get along with. --Sihoran Whelan, elvish barmaid
The Byen'si are considered the "common man" of Tabaxi. Though mostly seen in northern cities, a Byen'si can make itself home anywhere. Their ability to adapt to their surroundings makes them viable companions in adventuring groups, and one of the few Tabaxi who enjoy living in the more urban areas
Of course, Byen'si are considered the most opportunistic: if they find a crowd is gathering for a bard's tale, they may take it upon themselves to pocket a few gold from the local lord or higher figure -- to donate to the bard's cause. If a fight breaks out in the tavern, a Byen'si is the first to back away and start taking bets. These Tabaxi believe an adventuring group to be the greatest opportunity: travel, large cities, and people to see.
