One of the largest species of gylptodons, the Doedicurus or morningstar tailed glyptodont is one of the largest member of Cingulata, weighing around three thousand pounds and measuring around twelve feet long. At their end of their tail the sport a massive spiked club earning their common name for it's resemblance towards a morningstar and weighs up to a hundred and forty pounds. These large clubs are used both to fight off predators and for competing with each other over the rights for females.
