Wrestling is the biggest sport in VILE CITY and Wrestle-Insania is the biggest brand in the business. They fight until the other fighter is incapacitated or dead. They use their DEVOTION (magical ability) to harness 'persona magic' each fighter, with enough concentration, takes on magical abilities relevant to the ring persona they have created.
A fighter whose character is based on an eagle might be able to use magic to perform an incredible flying kick, if their character is a lion they might be able to magically grow a jaw that can bite chunks off their opponents. The ring is dangerous and often deadly but the rewards in terms of fame and money are vast.
Due to their diminutive stature GRITTERS are allowed to fight single opponents in teams of two. These bouts are often very popular due to the anarchic nature of the GRITTERS and their underdog status in the sport.
