Yara is a Saltmarsh native. She works on the local ships taking on a crew for various trade vessels as well as the occasional smuggling job. She is a bit of an outcast in town, a child born to a family who has had more fortunate days. Her families fortunes have waned as of late and she is reluctant to talk about them. She is determined and takes what money she can make to put toward restoring her house. Her father was lost at sea just before she was born and he mother is rumored to have gone crazy, giving Yara a bit of a reputation as a cursed child with some of the locals. She seems to have an 'unnatural' affinity for the water.
