Features

The Vineyards of Marivel are famous even in far-off Rividia and Tilia. 

Many artists travel to Marivel and have created a small commune.

During festivals and tourneys, the city's population can nearly double. 

Numerous lodgings, inns and campgrounds can be found.

An annual music festival runs on the Mid Summer Festival. Bards from all over the Western Kingdoms come to perform.


Districts

Marivel Castle is a huge fortress sitting atop a hill. The castle's white walls are visible from miles around. Surrounded by the famous Marivel vineyards it has been the subject of artists since it was rebuilt some 100 years ago.

Old Town is the site of the original village, many buildings are from that era giving it a quaint rustic feel. The village inn "The Farmer's Inn" is a popular place for locals and typically a quieter establishment than most. The Adventurer's Guild and a new Society House can be found towards the harbour in this part of town.

The Grand Stadium was built as a jousting arena and has since also become home to a local sporting tournament using an inflated pig bladder and some metal hoops and requiring armour to play. Knights gather frequently for the many tourneys throughout the year.

Lakeside was once the site of The Society in Marivel however it was attacked by an unknown assailant and destroyed. The spirits of the fallen are still seen haunting the ruins. A high wall has been built to keep people out. A large Thieves Guild HQ is also hidden from sight in Lakeside, the authorities are aware of its presence however it is left alone. The town's Water Mill and fishery are found on the shores of the lake just outside of Lakeside.

Harbourside provides housing for the rather sizeable fishing and harbour workers of Marivel. The alleys are narrow and cobbled with washing stung between the houses.

Marivel Harbour is a busy port and connects the main trade routes together.

Festival Market is the newest part of Marivel, it's market is sat in a sunken plaza which in turn is surrounded by The Festival Inn, a Charmwright, an Alchemist, a Herbalist, a Leatherworker and Gem Merchant. A second Charmwrights can also be found in the southern part of the district. 

Marivel Cathedral is a grand temple to the Pantheon it also has its own Necropolis.

Webber Farm is home to the wealthiest of all of Marivels Merchantantile families, the farmhouse is a grand manor house and barns. The also own and operate the Vinyards and windmills.
