The Bloodwood is found on the southeastern side of the High Peaks. It covers approx. 5000 square miles of land and is bisected by the Rodain River.
An old road can be found following the river to the ruins of Cutthroat Fort in the High Peaks.
The forest is unusual in that only red and purple-leafed plants thrive here. Blood Grasses, Purple Brambles, Giant Red Sycamore, Weeping Purple Beech and Purple Birch are the most common plants found.
The forest has resident Wild Ael communities that can be found deep at its heart. Unfortunately so can many predators such as Barghest, Giant Wasps, Bears, Boars, Wolves, Dryad, Ogre, Redcap, Troll, Forest Drake (LRPG) Ankheg (5E), Green Dragon (5E), Bugbear (5E), etc...
