The quakes started happening over time. noticed more in the middle of the vast oceans then when ashore.
Tales of large cracks appearing in the sands of the deep started to be heard more often and you could see the shorelines getting deeper as time wore on.
At one point the shaking didn't stop, building were collapsing, people being trapped in caves, and the world seemed to be rearranging itself around its inhabitants.
Eventually the shaking stopped and people came out of hiding, now seeing what seemed like a whole new world.
The water had receded to smaller oceans, the islands becoming continents.
People began to regroup and restart their lives
