On either side of the reception desk in the entrance hall run two passages, going further
into the White Palace. The passage to the right leads straight back, with a corridor
branching off to the right. The straight passage leads to the throne room. To the right lie the barracks.
The barracks, naturally, are where the palace guard sleep and eat. At any given time, a
quarter to a third of the guard can be found in the barracks complex. The others are
patrolling inside the palace or are in the courtyard or on the walls. The number of guards
is far less than was under Andropinis, when both warriors and templars shared the duties,
with templars usually providing magical support.
