The Tamwar nomads look much like the humans of Balic: golden-brown skin, black hair and black eyes. Led by the chieftain Ashuradi al Tamwar, the Tamwar roam in nomadic circles that center on the Shur-a-Tamwa oasis, which is south of the Balican estuary, on the edge of the Southern Wastes. There is a rotating branch of the tribe in a camp there at all times. Tamwar camping at the oasis range from 400 – 800 (800 when the chief is there). The Tamwar also have a shaman, Mehura al Tamwar, who is a liaison with certain primal forces of earth and wind, which she calls the Annodar. She knows how to make a hallucinogenic substance called the “blood of the Annodar.”
