In the southeast corner of the city, not far from the docks, lies Forest Square, a uniquely designed area of
Balic. A fairly recent addition to the city, Forest Square was created from an old warehouse that was bought and leveled by several familes from Gulg who were no longer welcomed
in the city of the Oba. Quietly fleeing the Forest City, they brought their wealth to Balic,
though they found themselves missing the trees and architecture of their old home.
Forest Square is just that, a square, with four blocks of townhouses facing inwards at each
other. Each of the houses are two stories in height, made of the pale stone and brick that is
common around Balic. Though the wood that is so plentiful in Gulg is not present in Balic,
that has not stopped the familes from adding a touch of home. Ornate wooden paneling
adorns the homes, as well as intricately carved railings and partial screens resembling
vines and flowering plants
