Stenethes Estate

Estate of Noble Family

The family home of House of Stenethes. Located on the southern side of the peninsula of which Balic is part of, the Stenethes lands have the same soil type that supports King’s Fields, the grand farmlands that provide much of the food for the city. The lush grounds hold mainly wheat and various assortments of berries and grapes, the latter of which make one of the finest white wines in all the Tablelands. The family has adopted the a method of erecting barriers of wood and stone to protect the crops from the terrible Tyr storms that rip through the area which has minimized crop loss and increased profits. The sprawling estate commands a view of the fields and estuary from the hill upon which it sits. The elaborate white stone structure has an open and airy feel which is the envy of most other noble families in the area. Even the slave quarters are better than most other residences in Balic, though the treatment of the slaves is no better. The Stenethes are not unnecessarily cruel masters, but they give their slaves no break from their labors – the fortune upon which the family rests depends upon the hard work of their slaves.
