Somberpoint

A tiny village located just outside the gloomstalk forest. Back in the day Somberpoint was a nice quiet little town that used to be a stopping point for people who were traveling to Lake Zoe during the summer months. It used the travelers to help finance the town and keep it going. Nowadays with lake zoe and the lakeside town being abandoned the little town has fallen to the wayside, become rundown and forgotten among the people, most people tend to travel around that town especially since it’s proximity to the gloomstalk forest.

Due to that proximity to the forest the town is also constantly under attack by the creatures of the forest, to the point where the local peace guards aren't able to keep them at bay completely. The attacks coupled with the massive loss in revenue crippled the town and put it in the state that it is in now. The only reason Somberpoint has not been completely overrun is due to the Wild Cards and their constant protection of the town. Everyone knows the reputation that the Wild Cards have but no one is sure why they’re protecting this town but no one really questions it.

Even with the protection of the Wild Cards the town is slowly being wiped out. The wild life from the forest isnt the major issue, the town has a murder on the lose and no one seems to be able to find out whom it is. The only leads they have is everytime they have a suspect, that suspect turns up dead and the bodies are usually found right outside the old toy shop.

The toy shop, like most buildings in the town, are run down and long abandoned. It was run by an old human man named Emyrson and loved to make a variety of different toys, but he was most popular for his dolls. Emyrson was the first of the murder victims, he was found 2 weeks ago in his home dead in his bed.
