UPDATE 19th May
Hi there! This is a half-built project that I'm trying to adapt for reference in a short Imperium Maledictum campaign. Have a look at the "Welcome to Kanka" Widget below, and click around to see what's going on. Some notes:
- This is very much a work in progress. There will be rough edges and redundancies.
- All these entries should be viewed as inspiration, rather than as homework. My intention was to collate the information presented across all 4 Dark Heresy II books to try and present a cohesive whole, so the edges and gaps are more clearly visible.
- Pay no attention to mechanical/rules information. Though this is a DHII wiki by design, we are in fact playing Imperium Maledictum. As such, though the two systems have a lot in common, there are a lot of entries that deal with mechanical information that's simply not relevant. That said, most of the fluff around the mechanics should still be relevant. If in doubt, check for the tags IMCore or Unknown, Unknown etc., which will point out the source of the information.
- You'll see across some entries that I've put parts of the text "in speech marks with italics". "A feature of 40k as a setting is that all the information is implicitly presented from the Imperium's perspective. This naturally means unreliable narration is all over the shot. However, it can somewhat bury the lede about how fucked up things are, especially in an RPG when narration is assumed to be neutral. To try and correct for this, I've called out information that I consider to be particularly #sus. This also includes in-universe rumours (sometimes - I've kind of gone back and forth on that).
- This currently doesn't feature Character Sheet support. That is a future goal.
- The Stub Entry tag can be viewed as free real estate for building out ideas connected to established lore.
An attempt to see if I can create a rules wiki/interactive character sheet with Kanka's toolset, 'cos DH is complex and I don't like the partial implementation on Roll20/Foundry/etc.
Things to implement:
- talents & traits directory with tags for aptitudes.
- searchable, indexed rules.
- weapons, armour & other equipment
- madness & corruption (and/or my modifications?)
- character sheet??? How to manage tracking changes?
- worldbuilding
- expansion stuff.
