Delphinium is invited to a cafe by Sam, under the pretense they would discuss breaking off a potential relationship. This was while the pledge between Thorn and Sam remained active. Sam insists on meeting in person.
Del and Sam meet, and Del is sure to inform Rick before she goes. Sam is already present before Del arrives, and he makes a poor attempt to persuade her to go on further dates with him. When this doesn't work, he drops all pretenses. He asks her if there is any chance that Thorn will drop the pledge and asks to speak with him. Del doesn't think its possible, and refuses to call Thorn.
Sam then suggests she at least get a drink while she is here. Herself and others falls unconscious after this, and her movements before she ends up in the hedge are unaccounted for at this time.
Thorn, sensing the pledge breaking, starts asking after Del. Rick informs them where she was, and they head there to find a scene with an ambulance and attending police officer.
The police officer is, seemingly, arresting the barista, even as Thorn informs him that a friend of theirs met someone at the cafe who is known for date rape. He also informs the gang that some people had been taken to hospitals by friends and family, and they might need to look there for their friend. The police officer gives details so that he can contact Thorn for further information, including following up on CCTV.
The gang search Sam's mansion / hollow, and find no evidence
that he is there. Changelings in the home vouch for not having seen him
that day, and say that Mary or Will might know.
The gang calls Del's phone, and Sam picks up. He is manic and erratic, and someone can be heard chiding him in the background. They call again later and someone picks up, but all that can be heard is loud arguing between unknown individuals. This is used to confirm that Sam / anyone else isn't in the club, as the gang was there when they called and could not hear anything in person.
With the help of other important changelings in the Freehold, most importantly Elise, the gang is able to locate Del in the hedge. Shenanigans then ensue.
