Charlie is intently watching TV. Hannah joins him. Eventually it seems that Charlie has been trying to figure out how to get the settings up on the TV. He eventually does so, and reveals that it is Summer, 2018. The group is shocked to find out this information.
Meanwhile, Thorn checks outside the cabin. He also gathers some cans and tries to scout a direction to travel. He finds the freeway but it doesn't seem immediately passable, as they are still monster people.
Meanwhile meanwhile, Delphinium makes some clothing from bed sheets.
The news reveals that someone was found inside the elephant enclosure at the Zoo last night. One of the zookeepers seems to be mildly glitching the broadcast. He also appears to be directly calling out to the gang, and eluding they should come and talk to him.
Charlie has the thought it could be his brother, and moves to leave. Thorn convinces him that everyone should leave together and not go and see the man on the news.
They cross the freeway after finding a path, and enter some sort of populated area. People regard the gang strangely, but not in a way that would imply they can perceive their meins.
Hannah manages to concern a woman to the point she calls the police. Delphinium directs the both of them out of the area.
Thorn asks in a restaurant about the nearest police station. He is shown it on a smart phone. Technology is incredible!
They get to the police station but are met with skepticism and scrutiny. The police say that if they want any help or information, they will have to show ID. They, of course, do not have any.
They decide to then get to the zoo. They split up and panhandle / flirt for enough money to buy bread and bus tickets. They arrive, and Del uses her charms to convince the zookeeper be called. Everyone who is aware of the situation seems to think its funny, but the man in question seems to be in an absolute panic when he arrives. His name is Jacques. He makes a pledge for protection and promises to take them to meet others like them. He takes the gang to his car and everyone piles inside.
