Lauren meets Volo to learn of the truth of the events of Hisui -- of Volo, of her Giratina, Seth, and of everything that happened there. There, she learns that Seth had been withholding the truth of his past -- that he had been evil once and worked with Volo to bring upon destruction of the world. With Volo's help, Lauren travels to the Ancient Retreat, where Cogita was still spending her time inside. Lauren and Cogita discuss over tea. They talk about the past in the Hisui Region, of Lauren's world, and, after being attacked by mistake by Seth, of Seth's Queer Platonic Partnership with Cogita.
Lauren breaks up with Seth after she recovers.
