- The group arrives in Netheran, visits the Sailor's Guild
- While Boxor seeks information about magic, the others get the official papers for The Floating Seamen
- Apparently, some entity paid for an upgrade to the ship. What was supposed to be a small trading vessel is now a big sailing ship + crew! A suprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
- Sanosch meets his mentor and supervisor Constantine Radclyff in the city and has a small chat
- At the end of the day, the group locates their ship and meets the crew
- Quartermaster Baraka, a tortoise that is apparently well known and a bit of a sailor legend
- Navigator Smellyfeet Joe, a human sailor with two eye-patches and his parrot "Pepe", that seems to be his familiar granting him vision

- After a night of party and sleep on the ship, the group decides to make for Castale, the capital of the Human Empire
- They need three days by crossing to the western ocean through the Netheranian Waterway
- In the night of the final day however, Seidis wakes up from a strange dream
- There is a thunderstorm in the distance near the fog wall surrounding Alyf
- Then the ship hits another shipwreck and comes to a halt
- Unknown Lizard creatures enter the The Floating Seamen and attack the crew ...
