Known History
The Human Empire is the oldest dominion on the continent of Alyf. The oldest cities were estimated to be built two generations prior to The Great Amnesia.
The history of the human empire is tightly connected to the history of the royal bloodline, as described in Book: The Kings and Queens of the Human Empire.
The first history books after the Great Amnesia tell of one united kingdom of all known species of whom most were banished into their own domain later. Over time, the empire explored further into the southern and eastern regions of the content and expanded their borders to the southern empire and the desert of Amane (Alyf), that later became an independant dominion.
The latest split of the empire occured in 448 when King Brian I, who discovered and founded the Ironhayn Territories, died. This caused disarray in the political ranks and eventually ended in the autonomous Ironhayn Republic.
The following decades were followed by various racial wars, mainly between the Human Empire and the Western Feral Union.
Only recently - in the year of 602 - did the current human queen Madara II open the borders to the empire without any conditions but with the dream of a united and peaceful continent.
Geography
Most of the Human Empire is green grasslands and mixed forests of moderate temperature. The northern and eastern part of the kingdom is mainly populated with deciduous forest and mountains while the southern peninsula contains coniferous forests as well as the massive Yellow Mountains.
The central and western part is mostly pickled with rolling hills and grassland.
The northeast of the empire leads into the Western Highlands, a long mountain range that encompasses a trapped sea, called The Bowl.
Borders
The empire has a natural border caused a sudden shift of height to the desert of the Western Feral Union.
