Entry.059 - Exiled

  • Players are ambushed by demihumans that bring them to their village - Exiles Reign
  • Each player has to stand a trial to be allowed to talk to the Alpha, the leader of the village
  • After a long series of strange skill challenges, Seidis transforms into a spider, leaving the villagers astonished
  • Alpha arranges a festive dinner for everyone and engages conversation with the players
    • Finds out that Seidis is a demihuman, too - and that there is a whole continent where demihumans can live "free"
    • Seidis finds out, that the curse of the Exiled is very similar to a story she read in a children's book from the Human Empire once:
      • "Our ancestors were peaceful humans once that just wanted to learn from the druids of the Taesi Forest."
      • "But the wood elves sent them away, because they did not deem them worthy of nature's gift."
      • "Desperate, on their way back, our ancestors encountered a featureless white fox that promised them the gift of druids, if they bring him the lotus flowers from the Druid Valley."
      • "So they plucked some and the fox let them drink out of the flowers and humans transformed into beasts. The fox was pleased and vanished."
      • "After a while, our ancestors began to understood that they were tricked by the Felinox. The fox did not teach them how to return back to human shape."
      • "So our ancestors got stuck in a demihuman form forever."
      • "When the elves found out, they were not happy and thought our ancestors were cursed by their god - the living mountain who normally grants the gift of druids."
      • "They exiled our ancestors into a small patch of land and created powerful magical barriers so our kin cannot escape."
      • "It also limits our reproduction, as we do not have enough space here to expand and the available resources only last for ~100 individuals."
      • "All attempts to talk to the elves and make a deal were shattered by their stubborness. They will never let us out of this prison!"
