Entry.085 - A Stormy Entrance

The rest of the journey from Elderburg to Mel Serine stays difficult. Only a day after the wyvern attack, a horrible hurricane from the Bay of Storms blows away a crew member and the ballista and almost destroys the rest of the ship. Taking a day off to repair the most critical damages helps, but the rest of the travel is hard and slow.

On the fourth day, a brawl breaks out where several older crew members attack the newer ones. The players are able to deescalate the situation fast enough and even shares a drink with them at the end of the day.

The rest of the travel is calm and around the mid of the week, the gates of Mel Serine are in range.

The coast guard, a subdivision of the Songblade of Mel Serine flies to the ship, inspecting the arrivals. However, through some verbal mishabs, the guard is angered and forbids the ship to dock at the port, telling the crew to turn around.

In response, on the way back east, the players take a sideboat to the coastline north of Mel Serine, intending to make their way into the city through other means, while the The Floating Seamen cycles between Snezleweaz and Fala Taesi.

After finding a path up the rocky cliffs of the east coast of Ryvenor and a sad abandoning of the sideboat, the players trek two days through the deep jungle of Ryvenor - called the Wildlands. At arrival of the protective walls around the city and no entrance to be found, the Songblade detects the group.

Through various in-the-moment lies of an wood elven invasion, the group gains entrance to the city and is brought to a guard station in the Outskirts. In the end, the players drop their deception and tell the guards the truth - and are then held in a prison cell until their narrative has been confirmed.

A few days later, (Raja) Shaevera Rinowen of the House Rinowen, a high elven woman of seemingly high importance makes a deal with the players. They gain their freedom and access to the prison of Ema Thalor, where Leylith was (and maybe still is) being held. In return, they agreed to publically humiliate a rival of Shaevera, another elf of high importance called (Prince) Theoden Theyarus of House Valyssa, that is known for collecting exotic creatures. A cultural event in the night two days from now was targeted for the great humiliation.
