Entry.119 - We The Pirates

The Inconvenience Removal Agency prepares their leave for port Ysabel, when a sound coming from the upper floor in their HQ can be heard. Upon inspection, a young tiefling girl with blue-purple skin and the name Jenna is found, soaked in cold water. After a long talk, the group comes to the conclusion that the girl who claims Drem as her new father must be the "custody" that Drem won in the casino. The girl is left in the care of the housekeeper in the HQ for now, with a promise made to bring Jenna presents from all the adventures she will miss.

Potions are acquired and the public teleportation service used to travel to Port Ysabel on the north-east coast of the Unknown. Information from the locals is collected and some fancy pirate hats are bought. Cabuga seems to be a pirate captain with the infamous title "The Devil of Cadacho", most likely because of her horns.

Until The Floating Seamen arrives at the port, the group kills some time hunting down a Basilisk near the village.

Finally on board of their ship, the new members of the group get to meet Baraka, Smellyfeet Joe and the rest of the Crew of the Floating Seamen. Not one day passes on the open sea for an encounter with the pirate ship "Gemstone" to engage. The orcish pirates are cocky at first, claiming the Floating Seamen, but when they are quickly overpowered by the strange group, they surrender. Gawrth also beheads the only mage of the pirate ship and burns their main sail. Information and a compensation is demanded as the robbers become the robbed. Cabuga seems to be somewhere at the Bay of Ghosts. The pirates think they recognize Happy as a familiar face and reveal that he looks like the pirate "Huuk" from Cabugas crew.

Leaving the damaged pirate ship behind and otherwise unharmed, the floating seamen floats northward to the bay of ghosts. Flo is able to pull out a broken piece of a wooden sign with the word "BAY" from his new bag of needing, but doesn't understand why the bag spit that out when asked for information on Amon's whereabouts.

The group arrives at the big island called Cadacho not too many days later. The island doesn't seem to offer a good point to harbour, but something is definitely wrong when skeletal birds are spotted flying above the jungle. The main ship is abandoned with the rest of the crew while the IRA - on the back of their carpet of flying - very slowly makes their way into the maw of a giant mammoth skull that appears to be the entry to the bay of ghosts.

Piercing the necromantic fog, the carpet creeps slowly into a settlement built into the canyon walls. The inhabitants - mostly orcs, humans and goliath - loudly announce the arrival of the intruders with a loud chant. And once the carpet riders dock on the harbour at the end of the canyon, they go straight for the big longhouse that houses dozens if not hundreds of pirates, currently feasting.
