Orizon is flooded with spirits. There are spirits of plants, animals, and stone, spirits of those that have passed and spirits of the cosmos. Some believe that there is a spirit for everything, every stone and blade of grass, every bolt of lightning. Others believe that there are only a few spirits for those things that have received special reverence. Some see creatures like dryads and elementals as more powerful spirits, others think they are related, but distinct. Some spirits can take shape, anthropomorphic or bestial or surreal, some spirits are formless and indistinct.
Regardless of the truth of their nature, the spirits of Orizon are numerous. Some people can learn to connect with these spirits, some can manipulate or communicate with them and receive strength from that connection.
