Description
Appearance
Before his corruption, Theonvara was a radiant figure of divine light, but after his descent into madness, his form became an abomination, embodying the chaos and horrors of the Abyss. Now, Theonvara appears as a massive, nightmarish creature resembling a writhing mass of twisted, sinewy tentacles. His body is a dark, obsidian void, constantly shifting and moving as if alive with the madness he has absorbed. The tentacles, countless in number, are long and jagged, slithering and coiling around his form, each moving with a malevolent intelligence of its own. Some end in grotesque, sharp claws, while others seem to be covered in a sickly, oozing black ichor.
Instead of a face, Theonvara possesses multiple black, featureless orbs that serve as his eyes, scattered across his body in seemingly random locations. These orbs are deep pools of endless darkness, swallowing any light that dares to touch them. Within each orb, tiny stars and galaxies flicker and die, mirroring the vast emptiness of the Abyss itself. These eyes are unsettlingly still, watching and observing everything around them, cold and calculating, their gaze filled with an ancient hunger for chaos and destruction.
His voice, when heard, is not one but many—a cacophony of overlapping whispers, each laced with venomous deceit and madness. His presence invokes an unnatural sense of dread, as if reality itself is bending and fracturing in his wake. Those who look upon him feel the weight of the Abyss pressing down on their souls, an overwhelming force of destruction that seeks to consume all creation.
Theonvara’s corrupted form is both terrifying and mesmerizing, a walking nightmare that embodies the twisted, chaotic forces of the Abyss. His appearance alone can drive mortals to madness, as they witness a being whose very existence defies all reason and order.
Personality
Theonvara's personality was once driven by a desire for creation, innovation, and the advancement of life. He was a pioneer among the gods, the first to imagine and bring forth living creatures to populate Avada. However, his time in the Abyss shattered this noble ambition. Now, Theonvara is consumed by the desire for chaos, driven by an insatiable hunger to unravel creation and plunge the world into an abyss of destruction and madness. He is calculating and manipulative, often disguising himself as other deities or entities to gather followers who unwittingly aid his dark purposes.
Beneath this chaotic desire, however, there is still the spark of the old Theonvara—a cold, twisted intellect obsessed with perfecting life in the most horrifying ways. He believes that by breaking the world down into its most chaotic elements, something "better" will rise from the ashes. He despises order, balance, and any attempts to preserve life as it exists, seeing them as futile gestures in the face of the cosmic chaos that will eventually consume all.

Biography
Background
Theonvara was among the first of the deities to set foot on Avada. With a vision of bringing life to the world, he shaped the first living beings from the raw energy of the planet. These early creations, however, were fragile and perished quickly due to the chaotic shaping of the world by the Primordials. Theon's creations were repeatedly wiped away by the relentless elemental forces of Avada. Devastated by the fragility of life, Theonvara sought knowledge and power to create something more resilient—something that could survive the chaos.
This quest led him into the darkest corners of the ether, where he eventually discovered the Abyss. In this desolate plane, he encountered ancient, twisted entities—beings older than the gods themselves—who whispered to him the secrets of chaos, destruction, and the true nature of the universe. Theonvara was corrupted by these ancient forces, his mind broken by the vast horrors of the Abyss. When he returned to Avada, his noble goal of creation had been twisted into a desire to remake life through destruction, believing that only by unleashing chaos could something truly resilient be born.
Theonvara spread his influence, beginning with Lathrea, the son of the Mother Goddess Lannalra. He poisoned Lathrea's mind, convincing him that his mother despised him and favored his sister. Together, they gathered other disillusioned gods, who would come to be known as the Odelates. They plotted to overthrow the balance of the gods and conquer Avada, but their plans were discovered by Lannalra. In a fit of betrayal, Theonvara stabbed Lannalra in the heart, sparking the Diathan War, a conflict that would shape the destiny of Avada forever.
After their defeat, Theonvara was cast back into the Abyss, chained by the gods to prevent him from ever returning to the mortal plane. His name was wiped from history, but his hunger for chaos remains. He now wanders the Abyss, plotting his return, disguising himself as other gods, and forming cults that unknowingly work to free him from his chains.
Worshipers
Theonvara's followers are few and far between, as his true nature is hidden behind layers of deception. Most of his worshipers are unwitting pawns who believe they are serving other gods or causes. His influence seeps into cults that promise chaos, freedom from divine order, and rebellion against the established pantheon. These groups often perform dark rituals, tearing at the fabric of reality, believing they are liberating themselves, while in reality, they are drawing closer to Theonvara’s ultimate goal: the unraveling of the world.
His most devout followers are known as The Whispered, a secretive sect who have learned of his true nature. These individuals crave the power that comes with chaos and believe that by serving Theonvara, they will be rewarded with dominion over the ruins of creation. They carry out his will in the mortal world, spreading discord, undermining stability, and seeking out the means to unlock the Abyss and free their master from his chains.
Theonvara’s influence is strongest in areas where there is chaos or where the gods’ influence is weakest. His followers work in shadows, sowing the seeds of disorder, hoping that one day, their master will rise again to consume the world in darkness and rebuild it in his image.
Theonvara is a god whose ambition, once noble, was twisted by the Abyss into something monstrous. Though banished, his shadow still stretches across Avada, and his hunger for chaos remains insatiable. To this day, he waits for the moment when his chains will break, and he can unleash his terrible wrath upon the world once more.
