While investigating Beggar's Nest, the Heroes of Phandalin encountered Nil, who was interrogating a thug who had been paid to plant poison bearing the symbol of Talona in the district. The thug claimed to be working for the Dead Rats, and Nil offered to work with the heroes to confront them.
After fighting their way through the Rat Trap tavern, and the gang's underground hideout, the party faced off against Rsolk
and his wererat minions. Rsolk was beaten into submission, questioned, and then left for the Wintershield Watchmen to apprehend.
