A drow wizard of House Xorlarrin, sent to Wave Echo Cave by her uncle Draac Xorlarrin to secure an Iron Flask for the fire giant Duke Zalto.
To that end, Nezznara adopted the "Black Spider" moniker and enlisted the help of the Cragmaw Tribe to secure the Forge of Spells located in the mines of Wave Echo Cave. She also recruited Iarno Albrek, who in turn formed the Redbrands to control the nearby town of Phandalin.
Nezznara slew Tharden Rockseeker and took Nundro Rockseeker hostage upon arriving at Wave Echo Cave. Draac believed his niece to be taking too long to complete her mission, and so sent a handful of doppelgangers to aid her. Ultimately, the lingering undead and latent defenses of the Forge prevented Nezznara from accomplishing her goals. The Heroes of Phandalin confronted her within the Temple of Dumathoin in a fight to the death. During the fight, she magically transformed into a drider, but was slain by the heroes.
