Boyd was born and raised in Atlanta in the late 1800's. He managed to make it into college, even thought his family was poor and he was black. It was an accomplishment and he was proud, as were his parents, so he spent all his time in study. He excelled, despite the constant harassment from his classmates, and was able to come up with truly creative and inventive plans.
Unfortunately, many of his pieces were stolen and then used later by a few of his fellow architectural students. They used his works to garner jobs and projects, when he attempted to plead his case it was ignored. Those in charge doubted that he was responsible and scoffed at him, from there his prospects dwindled to almost nothing. Boyd continued to draw and plan and create as he began to destroy himself with alcohol. He couldn't return home, he felt he was a disgrace, so he churned out work for his peers and they took credit.
Not everyone was fooled, he was being watched. While he fell deeper and deeper into despair, his sire followed him through the evening streets of Raleigh. One such evening, Boyd was accosted by a trio of drunken men that began to beat the young man viciously. They dragged him behind their horses to a park where they planned to lynch him and it was then that his future sire pounced. From the darkness, he took the three braggards and drained each of their life's blood. Boyd lay dying in the dirt, bloodied and stabbed and gasping. His sire took him and brought him into clan Nosferatu.
A few years later, he moved to Miami. There, he was able to truly create and build. It took all of his genius to keep the Warren free of water as he delved deeper and further underground. It was under his guidance that future engineers dug and built the sewers, shelters, and what limited underground that Miami and its environs had.
