Publicly known:
Born in France in the late 1700's, Catherine was of aristocratic stock. Her family was of minor noble heritage, owning various estates across Southern France. She was able to escape the great purge that swept her nation and fled to Switzerland, from there she moved to Greece and then America in the mid 1800's.
She grew despondent in New Orleans, the city in which she landed, and in the early 1900's moved to the fledgling city of Miami in Southern Florida. It was in the middle of nowhere, and there was no real 'society', but she felt she could guide it eventually being a cultural and artistic mecha for all of the south.
Catherine moved to the area and took the role as Primogen for Clan Toreador.
Over the years she has had the most issues with Clan Brujah, who had initially settled the area and attempted to claim it as their own. She's been able to wrest the control of Miami Beach from the other clan while the Ventrue have driven them from many of their other properties.
