Backstory

Melora, known as the Wildmother, is the goddess of wilderness and nature. Her origin story is one of mystery and intrigue, as she emerged from the primal chaos at the beginning of time.

According to legend, Melora was the first deity to awaken in the chaos that existed before the world was formed. She looked upon the swirling void and saw the potential for creation, for life to emerge from the raw elements of earth, air, fire, and water.

With her divine power, Melora shaped the elements into the natural world, creating oceans, mountains, forests, and all the creatures that inhabit them. She imbued the land and the sea with magic and life force, and she became the patron goddess of all that is wild and free.

Melora was a goddess of balance, promoting the harmony between nature and civilization. She believed that every living thing has a place in the world, and that each creature is valuable in its own way. She also believed in the power of the natural world to heal and renew, and her followers often used natural remedies and magic to cure illness and injury.

As a goddess, Melora became associated with many natural phenomena. She was seen as the mistress of the sea, the lady of the forests, and the queen of the beasts. Her followers often revered her through natural symbols such as trees, animals, and the elements themselves. She was also known to be a protector of those who dwell in the wilderness, and her followers often sought her blessing and protection when venturing into the unknown.

Today, Melora is still revered by many who seek to protect and preserve the natural world, such as the elves of Arvandor. Her teachings and her example inspire her followers to live in harmony with nature, to respect and honor all living things, and to use their power to protect the wild places of the world from harm.
