To some, Outlaws are the less-savory element of the Teamster culture. To the Outlaws, they're people trying to make ends meet, and in a dog-eat-dog world, it's better to eat than be eaten.

The cutoff point of what makes an Outlaw is a point of contention in Teamster culture.

  • To some, it's someone who does any business with slavers and other reprehensible types. These are Teamsters who (before the Invasion of Menfis) would rather camp in Outlands than stop in Menfis.
  • To others, doing business with bad people is just part of the territory. They don't consider themselves Outlaws. To them, true Outlaws are those who deal in objectively wrong activities, like transporting, renditioning or even capturing slaves, stealing from or hurting other Teamsters, disobeying the Rules of the Road.
  • And finally, there are those who embrace the label, and seek to be the baddest Outlaw in the former USA. These are bad people, and I mean that in a neutral tone. They are the frequent target of vigilante action by posses of Cowboy, in order to protect the reputation of Teamsters at large.
