The Central Reach has minor communities but is relatively wild. In its early days it was a frequent target of Outlands raider groups so the coastal communities have not had a chance to recover much. The partially flooded Menfis is the major hub for this region, more of a raider/slaver/trader hub. The city has been turned into a fortress, and interfaces with the Minneapolis Motor Syndicate in the slave trade.
Menfis is later occupied, and its slave markets destroyed, by New Africa with covert intervention by The Hitchhiker's Guild.
