Hopson "Hop" Benson was a preeminent musician in the latter 20th century, known for his contributions to the genres of Jazz, Funk & Blues. 

Career

Benson was a co-frontman for Hop-n-Bopp alongside Doctor LaRoy Bopp.

Benson made no bizarre claims to educational credentials, nor had he invented fictitious educational institutions wholecloth.

Legal Troubles

Benson was a defendant against class-action proceedings regarding dubious medical claims in the VHS series, Hoppin', Boppin' & Never Stoppin': How Jazzercise Can Instantly Cure Your Cancer and Make You Live Forever - Seriously!. He conducted himself normally in court.
