History

Pixie-Cola was born in Confederation of Carolina, so named because her desperately poor parents took advantage of a promotional stipend from the The Pixie-Cola Company. She still receives a little deposit on a regular basis. Anyone with a sponsored name generally gets a lot of dumb nicknames. She doesn't like to be called Cokie or Pixie Pop. Bubbles just sets her off. But it could be worse, as her sister Rae Joyce Davis can attest.

Her family had a deep distrust of authority, as both her parents were Indentured Contractors. Her mother died early enough that she no longer remembers her. Her father piloted a hauler for LodeStar Resource Logistics Group and was gone a lot of the time. Eventually they relocated to Merensky Station for the more lucrative work based out of the Asteroid Belt.

As she grew older, she started accompanying her father on his hauls as he taught her how to operate the ship. As his vitality diminished, she gradually took over his job and cared for him until his death. Might as well, since she would inherit all his debts anyway.

Near the time of her father's death, he'd talk bitterly about his employers, how he worked for a lifetime and barely made a dent in his debts, fantasizing about a grand suicidal gesture of revenge. After he died, she fell in love with a Johnny Sparxx who started putting a few more ideas in her head. He convinced her that if she stole a shipment of exotics and brought it to a Freebooter's Union Freeport, he could launder the profits and erase her debts, and they'd elope. Oh, and he knocked her up too. Arbeit "Biter" Davis II is 13 now.

Pixie fell for it, and did as he suggested. He made good on the promise to erase her debts, but he ran off with the rest of the profits. So now she's a wanted fugitive of LodeStar, but that's a better position than being a delinquent debtholder. In the ULISIS, it's better to be simply an enemy than a receivable.
