A Samsaric Trap is the adaptation in many sapient mundane species that requires permanent (until death of one or both) residence of a Samsaric Symbiote in exchange for expression of Loosh (Psychic Supply). Sentient minds without psychic defenses (or requirements of even trade) are ripe for parasitic Samsari. It can be compared to a marriage between a physical mind and its soul.
