Parnal is a bone-colored moss that grows in dense, spongy formations on the Surface, generally between root systems. It is dangerous to walk on, as any surface may conceal a much deeper body of moss than it appears. Once you fall in, the moss lacks enough structure to climb back out, yet is dense enough to suffocate. It may also conceal streams, in the right conditions.
