Bodue is tectonically active, and the interlocking Rootlands form a layer above the crust that becomes quite rigid. In small quakes, the vibrations have a special way of making the trunks resonate with a deep and partly subsonic roar like giant bass strings. This groaning can be heard for miles from the Void, especially when multiple cedars shake at the same time. If one happens to be inside a trunk when it resonates, the effect is an all-consuming vibration that is at once deafening and eerily muted. Naturally, this is a frequent cause of Avalanches.
