Quompni is an Espanglésh word common to many Plutonic Cults for any of a wide pantheon of global animating spirits who are the dying remnants of an age that prospered greatly from their gifts. This forgotten time was one of paradisaical plenty in reward for admittedly backbreaking labor. In return for lifelong toil, the Quompnies animated the Fáterries to a roar, belching rewards one hundredfold for the work of their followers. But as the Quompnis were starved by the Lluños (evil bloodsucking demons in this cosmology), their magic stopped animating the machines and the world fell into ruin. Many Capitalophilic Cults are preoccupied with provoking the Quompnies to return and make the ruins roar anew.
