Academic Division

An Academic Division is a corporate appendage that meets the legal definition of an academic university. Some of them began as independent universities that were agglomerated into corporations, and others began as outgrowths of HR and training departments. Most Master's Of Knowledge (MK)s are issued by Academic Divisions.

- Formalize & professionalize employee training

- Filter out undesirables before they can create problems by being hired

- Ensure that each student finds their limits (force each of them to struggle so that you always have grounds for HR to punish or terminate them)

- Create pathways for future success (seed each student with a record of vacuous academic triumphs that can be inflated to justify hiring, or criticized to justify firing)


As Corporate Organs:

- Inculcate Corporate Dialect


As public-facing scam:

- A workforce desperate for economic opportunity fell for the next iteration of the online degree mill, accelerated by declining rate of profit and increased automation
