Jiulang

Jiulang is a province located between the harsh, arid lands of Hongsha Xueyu and the karst-covered Shuilian Dongtian.  Its landscape is predominantly grassy, with fertile earth that provides ample opportunities for agriculture. However, the province's main attraction is the bustling city of Ninhou, a metropolis that thrives on the vices and excesses of its inhabitants and visitors alike. Ninhou is a city of neon lights, casinos, brothels, and illicit deals that never sleep. Ninhou is a stark contrast to the more dignified and polished capital city of Denhou, which is connected to Ninhou by the railway in Shuilian Dongtian.

Jiulang is home to numerous ports, which serve as entry points for tourists and diplomats to arrive in the province to later arrive in Ninhou to travel using the train to Denhou. However, only the more important diplomats and those with urgent business are allowed to dock in the Ninhou ports, where imports and exports are also a significant source of business. In addition to these larger ports, there are smaller docks scattered throughout the province that are mainly used for importing and exporting goods. These docks are less glamorous and often frequented by local merchants and traders. However, they still offer access to the larger cities of Ninhou and Denhou, making them an important hub for commerce in the region.

Unlike the other provinces, there are no mining settlements to speak of in this province. Instead, the people rely on other sources of income, including agriculture, trade, and of course, the thriving entertainment industry that Ninhou is known for.

The rural areas are mainly made up of small villages and farming communities, where people grow crops such as wheat, barley, and various vegetables. The people who live outside Ninhou in Jiulang are often seen as rough and gritty, but they also have a strong sense of community and look out for each other. The province is known for its love of horse racing, which is one of the few legal forms of gambling in the region. There are also some nomadic tribes who wander the grasslands with their herds of sheep, goats, and cattle. These tribes are known for their horseback riding skills and are often hired as guides for tourists who want to explore the countryside.

Jiulang province, with its vast farmlands and abundant warehouses, is often referred to as the "storage place" of the country. The fertile soil and favorable climate make it ideal for agriculture, with crops ranging from rice to wheat, and vegetables to fruits. Many of the warehouses are used for storing grains and other produce, to be sold or shipped out to other provinces. The province's strategic location near the coast and its efficient transportation network make it a major hub for trade and commerce.

Aside from agriculture and warehousing, the province is also home to various industries such as textile manufacturing, food processing, and paper production. These industries not only provide employment opportunities but also contribute to the province's economy. As a result, the province is considered an important economic powerhouse of the country.

Although still, the province has a certain charm that attracts visitors from all over. Whether it's the high-stakes gambling, the exotic cuisine, or the lively nightlife, there's something for everyone in this seedy yet alluring part of the country.
