Gwyn Onnen is a Hollow Hill within the Caledor Forest, a hidden space separate from the rest of the world. It is the old home of many of the Ekeli in the Green Ixion. The settlement fell through betrayal from within, giving access to tainted and desecrators. It was invaded, ransacked, and despoiled. Most of those calling it home did not get out alive. Few of the Ekeli in the Green Ixion have any desire to return, and monsters still haunt the place.
It seems foolish to go there, but resources may remain hidden. Gwyn Onnen is famed among the Ekeli for its tapestries, some dating to the Second Age — those older tapestries being laid with spells of preservation and thus hard to destroy. The invaders would not have valued them, so they might still be there.
Moreover, King Owain had a remarkable spear that could pierce any armour. The spear, and Owain himself, were not seen during the battle within Gwyn Onnen’s halls when the invaders came. It is generally assumed that Owain was killed during the battle.
Before they go, the Ekeli residing in the Green Ixion can outline the basics of Gwyn Onnen. The entrance hall
is located between two great ash trees. Further in, the tapestries were once hung in the Gallery and
Great Hall.
