But lately, the Archangel Avacyn, the central figure of the church of Avacyn and the main conduit of holy magic on the material plane, hasn’t been seen for the last few seasons. Since her disappearance, prayers alone have not been effective in preventing werewolf attacks in remote villages. Holy symbols are no longer stopping vampires from preying on travellers on moon lit roads, and the dead are once again becoming restless because of necromancers.
