Quest information

Overview

The Blue Death is a highly contagious and deadly disease that has been spreading rapidly through the slums of Presh. It is characterized by its distinctive blue discoloration of the skin, which gives the disease its name.

The disease is believed to be caused by a highly infectious virus, although the exact nature of the virus is unknown. The virus appears to spread through bodily fluids and close contact, making it highly contagious.

Sufferers of the disease have been reported to usually spontaneously combust into flames, though a manner of other random harmful magical effects may also manifest.

Developments

It was revealed in the Smelly Business event that the illness was artificially created by the Keepers of the Filth.

There was no known cure until it was discovered by Halra Rylan of the Sandy Satchel, during the Revolting Preparations event.

Year XXX, Month YYY, Day ZZZ

The first mention of the Blue Death was by Frank Tigly, a low-ranking guard from Falkenwrath Keep that was assigned to Team FTJ during the final events from the Army of the Damned. Frank mentioned that his family in Presh were infected and was provided with palliative care from his employers in exchange for his loyalty. 


Year XXX, Month YYY, Day ZZZ

The team had their first encounter with the illness through a slum boy names Dorian, who were part of the slum group called the Tunnel Drakes. He had a younger brother who passed away from the illness, and he himself estimates that he has around 6 months of living left. Peregrine Softstride attempted to heal him, but only succeeded in temporarily alleviating Dorian's symptoms, but contracted the disease himself in return.
