Amaris, born without a human body, watched over humans for centuries. Created to guide those for the god of life, Amaris appeared in his stead for prayer for a long time. Eventually Amaris sought a more personal way to connect with life, as prayer has become less common throughout Eucoir.
Amaris created themselves a body, one to imitate what they picture to be their more ‘human’ form if they were to appear in front of someone instead of a monstrosity with hundreds of eyes and a dozen wings. Because of this, Amaris is intersex. Amaris finds it incredibly odd this is considered ‘unnatural’ but happily uses this as a chance to empower others to be their true selves.
Amaris originally didn’t
plan to be a model, though a manager saw them and asked Amaris if they
ever thought of being one. This lead to the realization Amaris had “just
dropped everything and moved to the city”, so Amaris spent time living
with their manager. Amaris finds him to be charming, especially as he
likes creatures like big foot or vampires.
Very few know about Amaris’ true nature, and it’s only those that can
either detect it or those that are also supernatural in nature. Amaris
doesn’t tell anyone about it unless directly asked, unless they find it
necessary to continue their true job as a ‘protector angel’.
INTERESTING QUIRKS
- Amaris has a halo overhead if seen during sunrise or sunset. It isn’t very obvious, though some people notice it.
- Amaris has two scars on their back that run down their shoulder blades and stop at their hips. These represent Amaris’ largest set of wings, and if needed Amaris can summon them though that hasn’t happened in a long time.
- This isn’t the first time Amaris has taken a human form, though this is the longest. They have several ‘family members’ that have been passing as human for a while and Amaris has visited them in the past.
