The Glowfall Bog is a desolate and eerie place, shrouded in a thick fog that obscures most of its features. The ground is spongy and treacherous, with patches of marshy terrain and stagnant pools of water. The vegetation is sparse and twisted, with dead trees and shriveled vines that cling to the few remaining structures in the area.
At the center of the bog lies a massive crater, the result of the cataclysmic event that destroyed the kingdom of Edencross. The crater is several miles wide and hundreds of feet deep, with a glass-like surface that glimmers in the dim light. In the center of the crater, a single tower rises up from the surface, its stones charred and blackened from the magical explosion that created the crater.
The tower is the only remaining structure of Glowfort castle, once the seat of power for the kings of Edencross. It stands as a grim monument to the folly of the kingdom's last ruler, whose ill-fated decision to use the Ruby Throne resulted in the destruction of his kingdom and the creation of the cursed bog that now surrounds the tower.
Despite the desolation and death that surrounds it, there is a haunting beauty to the Glowfall Bog. The mist that blankets the area creates an ethereal atmosphere, and the soft glow of will-o'-the-wisps can be seen floating over the marshes at night. But beneath the surface lies a realm of dread, haunted by the walking dead and ruled by the mistress of the bog Octavia Hartin, whose mournful song echoes through the fog, calling travelers to their doom.
